Birds of the Boundary

Over the last few weeks we have been in the process of consolidating our bird galleries, expanding to a new format: Birds of the Boundary. From the start, our intent has been to catalog and share with readers the beautiful diversity of birds in the equally diverse habitats of the Boundary region.
Having started with Greenwood, then Midway, we are now 'bringing the flock together' in a collection that will span the Boundary from Rock Creek to Grand Forks, and all points in between: Kettle Valley, Midway, Boundary Falls, Anaconda, Greenwood, Phoenix, Eholt and Jewel Lake.
Today we are publishing the new consolidated gallery, which includes birds sighted in Rock Creek over 2017-18. All the additions are shown in the 'new arrivals' section at the top of the page, but stay tuned for a new and improved main index page.
Today also marks the start of our summer holiday. This will be our last posted feature until we resume publication in September. We will, however, continue to add new birds to the Boundary gallery as they come in, and will periodically announce updates on our Facebook page.
Have a wonderful summer, and make birdwatching part of your time outdoors. It's a great way to learn more about the place we call home!
