Like everywhere in the western world, Eastern Sunday was celebrated by the residents of early Greenwood. Events in honour of Easter 1900 were reported by the Boundary Creek Times:[1]
EASTER SUNDAY
"The weather, yesterday, was that of an ideal Easter Sunday bright and sunny. Large congregations attended both the morning and evening services in the city churches, which for the occasion were decked in Easter attire. Especially was this noticed in St. Jude's Mission, where the ladies of the congregation had gone to special pains to decorate the altar with an abundance of flowers, covering a pure white background.
Many availed themselves during the day to go riding, driving or walking, and the wagon road between here and Midway was crowded. Several went out to Boundary Falls and spent the afternoon there, returning in the cool of the evening. The bicycle club mustered up a dozen riders who had their initial run to Midway and return."

In April 1903, the Methodist church in Greenwood had been thoroughly renovated and was reopened on Easter Sunday.[2] The following evening, the annual Easter concert was held, with an excellent music and literary programme.
In April 1907, a beautiful program of Easter services were held at the Sacred Heart church on Easter Sunday,[3] as they had no doubt been held for many years prior. Following are recordings of the same music offered at the Sacred Heart's 1907 Easter service:
