Historian and journalist Bill Barlee produced an amazing series of video documentaries on British Columbia's many gold mining sites, most now ghost towns. In this video, number 14 in the series, he features the mining camps of Greenwood.
"Greenwood (#14): The smallest incorporated city in Canada, Greenwood is also known as one of the last two great mining towns. It contained one of the largest smelters in the British Empire."
A collection of 48 video documentaries on B.C. and Yukon mining sites can be found on this Youtube channel.
Another interesting video, this one a memorial to Bill Barlee, who passed away in 2012, was produced by historian John Mitchell of BcGhostTowns.com. He applauds Barlee's contribution to history, and his well known television series, 'Gold Trails and Ghost Towns', which played nationwide for many years.
